Postpartum Depression

Most new mothers experience “baby blues,” lasting up to two weeks. However, postpartum depression is more severe and can last up to a year.

Symptoms:

  • Severe depression or mood swings
  • Withdrawal from social life
  • Loss of interest in previous activities
  • Anxiety or panic attacks
  • Brain fog
  • Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
  • Excessive crying
  • Feelings of being an unfit mother

Treatment:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
